About The Position

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a second shift Resident Field Service Technician (4:00pm-2:30am) with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills. This role is part of the Service Team and is responsible for the care of various types of customer and company-owned equipment within a designated territory. The technician will troubleshoot and repair equipment at customer locations, communicate with various parties about job progress and downtime, and operate safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Ability to work second shift 4:00pm - 2:30am
Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related field
Possessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
Minimum 21 years of age
Clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
Must be medically capable of performing all aspects of the job with the maximum amount of safety.
Initial hire requires passing of pre-employment background check, physical abilities test, drug test and driving record

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles.
