Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with residents in a similar facility is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for engaging with residents and coordinating activities effectively.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to plan and execute diverse recreational programs are key.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, and database software will be necessary for managing activity schedules and volunteer coordination.
  • A proactive and customer-centric approach, coupled with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors, will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing a diverse range of activities for our residents, both within our residence and in the local community.
  • Creating an enriching environment that fosters strong family connections, friendships, and engagement in recreational and social pursuits.
  • Ensuring that our recreation program complies with Department of Health regulations and meets the unique needs and interests of our residents.
  • Organizing off-site excursions.
  • Facilitating in-house leisure programs.
  • Maintaining a vibrant calendar of activities.
  • Ensuring that our recreational spaces are well-equipped and welcoming.
