We provide full-service planning, design, and construction management services for roadways, bridges, airports, stormwater infrastructure, and parks/recreation projects, primarily for state and local agencies and municipalities.

Requirements

Demonstrate complete competence as a Resident Engineer leading projects.
IDOT Documentation of Contract Qualities certification is required.
Proficient with business applications.
Microsoft Office 365 understanding is a must.
Technical expertise in several construction inspection activities.

Nice To Haves

A civil engineering degree and professional license is preferred but not required if appropriate experience is demonstrated.
Organization, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to interface and collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

Lead construction projects as a Resident Engineer.
Manage project staff.
Work closely with contractors.
Serve as the field contact person for clients.
Chair progress meetings.
Examine workmanship of finished installations for conformity to contract documents.
Interface with clients, consultants, subconsultants, and vendors.
Build strong relationships and maintain a focus on superior client service.
Manage construction projects throughout the City of Chicago with the Chicago Department of Water Management and/or Chicago Department of Transportation.
Oversee projects that may include installation of utilities such as water and sewer mains, pavement and restoration, ADA ramp compliance, streetscape, and resurfacing projects.
