About The Position
A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Resident Engineer for their Gary, Indiana team! This role involves overseeing inspection construction projects related to underground utility improvements, often funded by local, state, and federal sources. The position requires meticulous preparation of construction documentation according to specific state requirements and coordination with clients.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 6+ years of construction experience
- Certification in Documentation of Contract Quantities
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- Experience in MicroStation and GeoPak preferred
- Inspection experience for utility facility improvements (lift stations, reservoirs, pump stations) preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee inspection construction project involving underground utility improvements using local, state and federal funding (water/sanitary/storm)
- Prepare all construction documentation according to IDOT BLR & S requirements
- Measure/calculate pay item quantities
- Coordinate daily/weekly with clients
