About The Position

The Resident Coordinator I is responsible for the supervision of residents in AMFM Healthcare’s Transitional Living Homes, providing a safe, supportive, and caring environment to promote well-being and recovery from mental health and co-occurring disorders. This PRN (as-needed) position requires picking up at least one shift per week when available, which may include evenings, overnights, and weekends. The role may offer future full-time opportunities based on performance and availability. The RCI is expected to be a team player with AMFM Healthcare management and clinical staff, possessing knowledge and experience in supervising client services and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of the ADP Selective Screening Services background check.
  • Minimum Educational Requirement: High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Current T.B. clearance
  • Ability to work on a computer/keyboard, use electronic systems, communicate with others through written and verbal formats, ability to sit for long periods of time, listening, reading comprehension, lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and transports clients safely to all daily activities, ensuring timely arrival and participant safety.
  • Utilizes intervention and communication skills in working with clients, their families, and significant others daily and in crisis.
  • Rigorously adheres to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, Emergency Management, and Environment of Care procedures.
  • Proficiently navigates and utilizes the BestNotes electronic health record system to document client activities effectively.
  • Collaborates with the program nurse and clinical team regarding reports of client behavior with medication side effects.
  • Maintains the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
  • Facilitates recovery and clinically indicated activities and groups according to organization policy and documents them into the electronic health record.
  • Conducts observation rounds as needed to ensure client safety, documenting client behavior and participation in treatment.
  • Effectively and correctly reports observations in daily passdowns.
  • Responsible for resident attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled.
  • Conducts orientation to new residents, including reviewing safety drills and locations of fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation diagrams, exit routes, evacuation procedures, and first-aid kits.
  • Accurately collects POC samples from clients under observation.
  • Accurately files information into the clinical record.
  • Communicates results of Waived Tests effectively through the organization's email communication system.
  • Accurately monitors the self-administration of medications by clients.
  • Ensures the integrity of the medication self-administration process by appropriately documenting into the eMARS systems with the electronic health record.
  • Monitors and records client vital signs.
  • Communicates discrepancies with nursing.
  • Provides inventory information to nursing and completes the medication management process with minimal to no errors.
  • Properly facilitates basic client service groups by engaging clients, monitoring their behavior, and guiding them through the activity/session.
  • Submits required group notes in a timely manner.
  • Ensures correct information is submitted on all clinical documentation.
  • Accurately records and states the group topic, evidence-based practices utilized, and summarizes overall client participation.
  • Documents each client's behavior during the group and the quality of their participation.
  • Records a daily pass down in BestNotes and via the organization's email service that contains an accurate portrayal of each client's disposition, the state of the house, and other pertinent items of note.
  • Successfully passes routing physical inspections of the cleanliness of the residence under their care and supervision.
  • Submits maintenance requests once deficiencies outside the scope of general cleaning are identified.
  • Ensures all client care areas meet Infection Prevention and Control guidelines.
  • Comprehends and is aware of company policy regarding emergency action plans, fire drills, and disaster awareness.
  • Passes quarterly fire and emergency drills conducted by qualified Safety personnel.
