About The Position
Barton House, a Saga senior living community, is seeking a Resident Care Technician to provide personalized support to residents, ensuring they receive what they need to thrive. This role involves making a difference in someone's life every day within a community that offers a continuum of personalized care.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Caregiver certificate required
- Food Handler certificate
- CPR/First Aide required
- Fingerprint Clearance Card
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on support to residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Ensure residents' safety and comfort while promoting dignity and independence
- Monitor residents for changes in physical or cognitive condition, document care provided, and communicate effectively with nurses, family members, and other team members
- Offer specialized support for individuals with extra care needs, using patience and understanding to engage residents in activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
