About The Position

This is an Interim/Float Resident Care Manager position for a Registered Nurse. The role involves overseeing and coordinating all aspects of resident care, including daily activities, personal care, and medical needs. The position requires developing and implementing individualized care plans, coordinating nursing services with other resident services, and maintaining open communication with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals. The role also ensures compliance with regulations and facility policies, monitors the quality of resident care, and trains and supervises direct care staff. Responsibilities include addressing resident care issues, maintaining accurate records, participating in surveys, and collaborating with the Medical Director. The position aims to create a warm, patient, and cheerful environment. The initial assignment is at Avamere Court at Keizer for 13 months, after which the role becomes a float position.

Requirements

  • Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a supervisor in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records and computer documentation systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of resident care, including daily activities, personal care and medical needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on resident needs and preferences.
  • Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the resident’s total regimen of care.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with residents, families, staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and facility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of resident care to ensure it meets standards and expectations.
  • Train, supervise and evaluate direct care staff to ensure they provide quality care.
  • Address and problem solve resident care issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of resident care.
  • Participate in state and federal surveys of the facility; assist the Administrator in reviewing deficiencies and developing plans of correction.
  • Collaborates with the Medical Director to assure quality of care.
  • Attend continuing education programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession and participate in/provide leadership for in-service training for nursing personnel.
  • Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
