Requirements

  • Experience working as a Care Partner and Medication Tech previously.
  • Computer literacy, savvy in social media, and proficiency in learning specified online programs.
  • Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
  • Meet all health requirements as specified by state and federal regulations.
  • Able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Providing oversight of the daily functioning of service and wellness needs of the elders within the community under the direction of the Executive Director.
  • Scheduling, coaching, and training the Companions and the medication passer/techs and assurance of safe medication and wellness delivery systems.
  • Training, scheduling, supervising, and assigning significant overall duties in directing the work of team members under the leadership of the Wellness Director.
  • Participating in the interviewing/hiring process of Care Partners and Med Techs.
  • Assisting the Administrator Wellness Director in adjusting staffing levels based on fluctuating occupancy and level of care.
  • Assisting elders with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care.
  • Documenting and updating the Elders’ Growth and Wellness Plans.
  • Assisting with and documenting medications under the supervision of the Wellness Director.
