About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring RCA/CNA's at The Residence at Quarry Hill. This role involves providing for the needs of elders, including personal care, therapeutic programming, safety, and emotional support, in a manner that upholds dignity, independence, choice, and individuality. The Resident Care Associate will deliver services as outlined in each resident's approved service plan. The company promotes its mission and core values, expects associates to actively contribute to community occupancy growth, and requires completion of orientation and training programs. Responsibilities include assisting residents with medications, daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, mobility), monitoring changes in resident needs and health status, assisting with clothing and laundry, helping residents with bedtime routines, maintaining resident unit orderliness, responding to emergency calls, participating in ongoing in-service training, escorting residents to meals and activities, documenting services provided, and conducting/facilitating programming.

Requirements

  • Must have completed the course for certified nursing assistant or have equivalent training or experience as required by State Regulation.
  • CPR and First Aide training as mandated by the State employed.
  • Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training preferred.
  • Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.
  • Current license/certification as required by State Regulation.
  • Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including but not limited to word processing or demonstrate the ability to learn data input.
  • Ability to use computer for documenting services provided.
  • Fluent in the ability to communicate in the English language, both oral and written.

  • Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training preferred.
  • Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
  • Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
  • Assist residents with medications according to State Regulation and LCB Policies, making required record entries and notifications.
  • Engage residents in meaningful interactions and provide assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions for activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, mobility).
  • Monitor for changes in resident needs, preferences, and health status, and report/document any noticed changes to the RN or designee.
  • Assist Residents with clothing and laundry needs as per the service plan.
  • Assist Residents in going to bed at night, when necessary.
  • Assist Residents with keeping their units neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Answer emergency calls and attend to Residents' needs promptly.
  • Participate in the community's regularly scheduled on-going in-service training programs and specialized staff training programs.
  • Assist with escorting residents to meals and engagement as needed or directed.
  • Document both scheduled and unscheduled services provided, including incidents, behaviors, and out-of-the-ordinary events, and input information into the community computer tracking system.
  • Conduct and facilitate programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction, that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity and spiritual connection.
