Caregiver (CNA in-training)
About The Position
The Resident Care Associate (RCA) provides general, non-certified routine services according to established procedures and as directed by supervisors. The role is intended for candidates interested in pursuing training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The RCA supports residents with housekeeping and laundry, meal service, companionship and communication, timely responses to call lights, engagement in activities, and personal care within state regulatory guidelines. The position includes attending and participating in a training program leading to CNA certification.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
- 0–1 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Assist with housekeeping and laundry, including trash removal and making or changing unoccupied beds.
- Assist with meal service, including transporting residents to and from the dining room, delivering trays, and helping ensure a positive dining experience.
- Provide customer service, companionship, and communication to residents.
- Answer call lights in a timely manner and check in with residents frequently.
- Assist residents with engagement in activities.
- Assist with personal care responsibilities according to state regulatory guidelines.
- Attend and participate in a training program leading to Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
