Resident Care Assistants (6a-2p) - Pinecrest
About The Position
MRC's PineCrest is Lufkin's premier continuing care retirement community. We are currently seeking Evening Shift (6 am-2 pm) Resident Care Assistants. The Resident Care Assistants will administer the care of residents under the supervision of licensed staff and assist professional nursing staff by performing routine tasks in the care of residents. They will also assist residents in adapting to changes that may occur due to illness and normal processes of aging. Using one-on-one and group relationships, they will facilitate participation in activities, support interests, and develop and sustain capacities and adaptive skills of residents. Additionally, they will lead and coordinate various types of activities and programs for the residents and assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
Requirements
- Must have a working knowledge of basic patient care procedures
Nice To Haves
- High school graduate or equivalent is desired
- Two years of resident care experience preferred
