About The Position
Resident Care Assistant – Assisted Living (2p-10p) Evening | Full-Time | Parma, OH Mount Alverna Village, part of Franciscan Ministries, is a vibrant senior living community located in Parma, Ohio. We are a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, memory support assisted living, and skilled nursing/ long-term care. Additionally, the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Must enjoy working with the senior population
Nice To Haves
- One year of caregiving experience
Responsibilities
- Follows the resident assessment in providing services to residents.
- Assists in the updating of each resident’s assessment.
- Assists resident with personal laundry, if requested.
- Assists in preparing residents for meals, serving meals, bussing tables during mealtimes and cleaning the dining room.
- Assists with cleaning residents’ apartments.
- Assists residents with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene and mobility.
- Reminds residents to take prescribed medication.
- Encourages socialization among residents.
