About The Position

Kāhala Nui, considered Hawaiʻi’s premier senior living community, is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to join our team. This position involves assisting residents with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to ensure they receive person-centered care and service in the Assisted Living (AL) and Memory Support (MS) areas. The role may involve working on the Nursing Unit if the individual is certified as a CNA. This position does not require a Hawaii CNA license and does not provide relocation assistance.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in caregiving, resident care, assisted living, healthcare, or a related field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with residents and families.
Ability to follow care plans, policies and safety procedures.
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely, including standing, bending and prolonged walking or standing.
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.
Proof of valid CPR AED and First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a Nurse's Aide training program or CNA certified.
Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or memory care residents.

Responsibilities

May be assigned to work on the Nursing Unit if certified as a CNA.
