About The Position

Kāhala Nui, a premier senior living community, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Overnight Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to join their team. The RCA will assist residents with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to ensure person-centered care and service, following the direction of licensed nurses and management. This role works with residents in Assisted Living (AL) and Memory Support (MS) and may be assigned to the Nursing Unit if certified as a CNA. This position does not require a Hawaii CNA license and does not provide relocation assistance. Evening and Night shifts receive a shift differential pay.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with residents and families.
Ability to follow care plans, policies and safety procedures.
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely, including standing, bending and prolonged walking or standing.
Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.
Proof of valid CPR AED and First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

100 hours of nurse's aide training or Certified Nurse's Assistant certificate preferred.
Previous experience in caregiving, resident care, assisted living, healthcare, or a related field.
Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or memory care residents.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with their ADLs to ensure that they are receiving person-centered care and service.
Follow the direction of the licensed nurse, Director of AL/MS, ADON and/or DON.
Work with residents living in Assisted Living (AL) and Memory Support (MS) as assigned and on a rotating basis.
May be assigned to work on the Nursing Unit if certified as a CNA.
