About The Position

Camp Anokijig, a non-profit organization established in 1926, is seeking a Building Facilities and Equipment Manager. This role is crucial for maintaining the camp's 396-acre facility, which includes forests, marsh, farmland, and surrounds Little Elkhart Lake in Plymouth, WI. The camp serves approximately 10,000 participants annually through its summer camp program (nearly 3000 campers aged 7-16), family camp weekends, recreational group outings, and outdoor education groups. Programming typically runs from April to November, with additional winter weekend outings in January and February. The recent addition of the Centennial Lodge banquet facility is expected to increase usage from November to March. As a 501c3, the camp relies heavily on volunteers for program delivery and annual setup/teardown. Full-time staff must be comfortable working with volunteers of various ages and skill sets. The position involves flexible weekly and daily work schedules, including weekday and weekend responsibilities throughout the year, dependent on group schedules and administrative workload.
