About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to residents in an assisted living community. The role assists residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and helps maintain their personal environment. It also transports residents within the community, responds promptly and safely to emergencies and requests, follows resident care plans, and obtains vital signs. The schedule is PRN, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Experience working with an elderly population.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
