About The Position

The Sycamore of River Falls is a growing, full-service senior living community with 84 apartments, including 68 blended independent and assisted living units and 16 memory care apartments in a secured neighborhood on the first floor. The property also features four villa patio twin homes with two and three-bedroom options for active, independent seniors. The apartment building offers a variety of studios, one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, and two-bedroom units. The underground parking garage includes 50 parking stalls, maintenance rooms, and a residents’ storage area. Managed by Ebenezer, this newer care facility is located in River Falls, WI. This Resident Assistant position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the senior residents' physical and emotional wellbeing. The role will include training to pass medications.

Requirements

• Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phone, fax machines
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: Bathing/showering; Foot and fingernail care; Shaving; Dressing; Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses; Hair care; Feeding; Toileting; Escorts; 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed
• Performs specified home services
• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked
• Delivers meal trays
• Assists with meal service in dining room
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies
• Demonstrates proper resident care procedures
