RESIDENT ASSISTANT (CNA required)
About The Position
Resident Assistant (RA) - must be CNA certified. Kimball Farms Lifecare Community offers the full spectrum of housing options on our beautiful campus, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care assisted living. Skilled nursing care for short-term rehabilitation, long-term care and specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care is available nearby at Kimball Farms Lifecare Community. The Resident Assistant’s role is to assist residents with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help, always fostering residents’ independence and freedom of choice.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in long term care/ assisted living community preferred.
- Previous experience working with dementia residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist elderly people who are functionally, physically, and or socially impaired and need 24-hour oversight.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help.
- Foster residents’ independence and freedom of choice.
