About The Position

TowerLight Senior Living is looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide to provide personal care to improve and/or maintain the physical and emotional well-being of senior residents in assisted living and memory care. The community is located in St. Louis Park, MN, near public transportation and major highways. The community offers independent living apartments, assisted living apartments, memory care, and enhanced care suites, along with an intergenerational day care. The tenured team is committed to delivering high-end comfort and the best senior care available. No CNA MN NAR is required unless the applicant is under 18 years old. On-the-job training is provided to enable passing medications.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of experience.
  • Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines.
  • If under 18, must be on the MN NA registry and site must be able to manage restrictions that they are not able to pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supports residents with daily living activities, including bathing, foot and fingernail care, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and assistance with hearing aids and/or glasses.
  • Assists with 1-2 person transfers and the use of mechanical lifts.
  • Assists with treatments as outlined in individualized care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, such as blood glucose monitoring.
  • Administers or assists with medications, including insulin injections, as directed by a Registered Nurse.
  • Takes and records vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
  • May assist with household tasks including laundry, cleaning, meal service, and resident activities.
  • Monitors and reports changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition (e.g., mood, appetite, weight).
  • Communicates observations to appropriate staff and contributes relevant input to care planning.
  • Acts as a mandated reporter, promptly reporting any concerns related to potential mistreatment.
  • Responds appropriately to resident needs and building emergencies, following established protocols.
