About The Position

Ebenezer is looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide to provide personal care, pass medications, and perform designated health-related services to improve and/or maintain the physical and emotional well-being of senior residents. This role is located in Minneapolis, MN, at the Jones-Harrison Assisted Living unit. A CNA certification is not required unless the applicant is under 18 years old. This position offers a great schedule for nursing, healthcare, or premed students. The schedule includes 67 hours every two weeks, with evening shifts. Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday. Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. There is an every-other-weekend rotation for Saturday/Sunday. Jones-Harrison Senior Living, celebrating 135 years of service, is conveniently located near metro bus stops in Minneapolis and offers Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Long-Term Care with views of Cedar Lake.

Requirements

CNA certificated only required if under 18 years old

High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course
Previous work experience as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA

Responsibilities

Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.
Under direction of Nurse, provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
May perform duties that include: laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
Assists with onboarding of new staff.
