About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to assisted living residents, helping with activities of daily living and transporting residents within the community. The role includes responding promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergencies, requests, and environmental hazards. The assistant reviews and follows resident care plans and obtains vital signs. This is a full-time PM-shift position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain residents’ vital signs.
