About The Position

Missouri Western State University (MoWest) is hiring Resident Assistants for the Spring 2027 semester, from January 3, 2027, through May 10, 2027. This is not a student employment position. Selected Resident Assistants receive a scholarship for on-campus housing and a meal plan. Resident Assistants live in the residence halls and serve as leaders, helpers, and resource people for students. They support residents through individual interactions, conflict mediation, and community building. RAs are expected to think critically and creatively when solving problems, communicate with and relate to a diverse group of students, understand individual needs, help students build strong social networks, and connect them with appropriate campus resources.

Requirements

Must be a MoWest full-time student taking at least 12 undergraduate credit hours or 6 graduate credit hours, and no more than 18 credit hours per semester.
Maintain a cumulative and semester GPA of at least 2.5.
Must have completed at least one University/College semester, excluding summer, dual credit, and AP/IB.
Maintain good judicial and Residential Life standing.
Must be available to start January 3, 2027, for training before the spring semester.
Light work physical demand: exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
