Indiana School for the Blind & Visually Impaired (ISBVI):The School is nationally and internationally recognized for its excellence and best practices in educating children and young adults who are blind or have low vision. The School is a critical resource for Indiana’s children who are blind or have low vision and the teachers, parents, and caregivers who work with them. Every year, we educate hundreds of children and young adults ranging from 3 to 22 years old and living in all parts of Indiana, many of whom, due to severe or multiple disabilities, other schools in the state have difficulty serving or cannot serve. Role Overview:The Resident Assistant supports staff by facilitating the care and guidance of students and other youth during after-school and evening hours. You may be assigned to supervise students in dormitories, recreational facilities, dining facilities, and events under the supervision of the residential leader. This is a second shift position that works Sunday - Thursday. A typical schedule is: Sunday: 5:30 pm -11:30 pm Monday - Thursday: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Friday: Off Saturday: Off Salary: This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $34,216.00 but may be commensurate with education and job experience.
