About The Position

We are currently seeking compassionate, dependable Resident Assistants to join our team. We have multiple openings available with a variety of shifts and schedules. As a Resident Assistant, you will provide personal care and related services to residents in accordance with their individualized service and care plans. You will work under the direction of the Healthcare Coordinator to help ensure our residents receive compassionate, respectful, and high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment. Certification as a Nurse Aide is preferred but not required. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • At least six months of caregiving experience, preferably working with older adults.
  • Completion of a medication management course (or ability to obtain if required).
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally challenging situations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality resident care.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Nurse Aide is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document residents' vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse in accordance with each resident's Individual Service Plan (ISP).
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, nutrition, ambulation, transfers, positioning, and medication reminders.
  • Follow Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and daily assignment sheets while promptly communicating changes in residents' conditions to supervisors.
  • Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including standard precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of resident care and observations.
  • Encourage residents to participate in activities that promote independence, engagement, and quality of life.
  • Protect resident privacy by maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and following all community policies and procedures.
  • Attend required in-service meetings, continuing education, and mandatory training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support resident care and community operations.
