Requirements
- Is at least 18 years old
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Enjoys working with seniors and long-term care residents
- Can work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed
- Can perform the physical requirements of the position
- Maintains a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare
- Food Handler's Permit or ServSafe Certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with personal care setup, grooming, and daily routines
- Escorting residents to meals, activities, and appointments within the facility
- Providing companionship through conversation, reading, games, and social engagement
- Supporting activity participation and encouraging resident independence
- Responding to call lights by notifying nursing staff when clinical assistance is needed
- Helping maintain clean, organized, and comfortable resident rooms and common areas
- Assisting with meal service, snack delivery, dining room setup, and cleanup
- Performing housekeeping duties and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout the facility
- Monitoring residents and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team
- Following infection control, safety, HIPAA, and resident rights policies at all times
