About The Position
CARING & COMPASSIONATE RESIDENT ASSISTANT NEEDED At The Harbor & The Haven, our mission is to redefine what it means to age with joy and dignity. Our community consists of 61 assisted living and 12 memory care apartments. We believe that providing exceptional care starts with a happy, supported team. We are located in Norwood Young America, approximately 50 minutes southwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Requirements
- Reliable, compassionate and a true desire to support seniors.
- Be patient and calm, especially in difficult situations.
- Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills.
- Physically capable of doing work that requires standing, lifting, bending, pushing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving experience or CNA/HHA certification is a plus (but not required).
Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily personal tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assisting with mobility, transferring, and light housekeeping.
- Administering prescribed medications and monitoring for side effects (training provided).
- Engaging residents in meaningful conversations and life enrichment activities.
