About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides hands-on support to residents and fosters meaningful connections in the community. The role helps residents live with dignity, joy, and companionship by assisting with daily activities, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, and encouraging engagement. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt role in the Nursing department, scheduled for overnights from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., for 16–56 hours per pay period. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. Travel is not required, and the role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification is preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Help maintain clean and comfortable surroundings through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while supporting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.
• Perform other assigned duties to support the team and provide exceptional care.
