About The Position

Cornerstone Management oversees multiple Assisted Living communities dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for seniors. The Caregiver is a part of the Cornerstone team, a resident-focused, high performance, high commitment work team that supports the motto of, “creating healthy living and work environments.” This is an overnight, part-time role.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Drug Free.
  • Clear Background.
  • No Communicable diseases.
  • Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
  • 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.
  • 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift/move objects.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning, and stretching.
  • Finger and hand dexterity.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining vital signs and notifying the supervising nurse of deviations
  • Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming needs, toileting, and walking
  • Recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates
  • Being part of delivering specific core programs such as falls prevention, exercise, etc.
  • Medication reminders
  • Housekeeping duties and safety compliance
  • Follows the resident’s ISP as directed.
  • Follows the daily task sheets developed for each resident.
  • Communicates with the appropriate supervisor about changes in the resident’s status and/or the home situation
  • Utilizes standard precautions and infection control procedures.
  • Follows written instructions and requests assistance and further instructions with new or unfamiliar situations.
  • Prepares resident progress notes and submits this documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assists the resident in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Exhibits a caring and respectful attitude toward the resident and the resident’s property.
  • Works with the Resident Services Director and the rest of the operations team to build relationships and strong communication with residents and families
  • Assists with activities and encourage resident engagement and participation
  • Upholds confidentiality of residents and coworkers, HIPAA
  • Attends bi-weekly in-service meetings and mandatory trainings
  • Adheres to all community and company policies
  • Understands proper use of facility equipment.
  • Reports observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects, and malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.
