The Floater Resident Assistant, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services supports the programs of ACTS that make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in crisis. Floaters are Resident Assistants who are assigned to fill vacancies created by the temporary absences or position vacancies and to cover open shifts due to emergencies. Resident Assistants are responsible for the safety and comfort of the shelter residents. They provide support and trauma-informed care to domestic violence and sexual assault victims using the trauma-informed approach. This position is in charge of managing the daily operations of the shelter and also answering the crisis hotline during the shift. Shifts are days and/or overnights, including holidays. Flexibility in the schedule is required.
