About The Position
Shepherd’s Inn is looking for caring and dependable Resident Assistants to join our team. We are a close-knit senior living community where our residents are treated like family and our team members are valued for the difference they make every day.
Requirements
- A caring and positive attitude.
- Dependable and willing to be part of a team.
- Comfortable working with older adults.
- Able to complete required Minnesota training and background study requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving or senior living experience is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and mobility.
- Respond to call lights and resident needs with kindness and respect.
- Assist with medications when properly trained and authorized.
- Help with meals, laundry, light housekeeping, and other daily needs.
- Observe and report changes in a resident’s condition or behavior.
- Follow individual resident service plans.
- Document care and services accurately.
- Encourage residents to remain as independent as possible.
- Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Follow safety, infection-control, and emergency procedures.
- Work together with your team to provide dependable, compassionate care.
