Resident Assistant/CNA - Evergreen Knoll
About The Position
As a Resident Assistant at Evergreen Knoll in Cloquet, you will assist residents with daily living tasks and provide compassionate care and support in a warm, family-like environment. The role includes passing medications and helping residents feel at home. No prior experience is necessary; training and ongoing support are provided. Team members receive training in both assisted living and memory care. The position is offered for day, afternoon, and overnight shifts, with full-time and part-time schedules available. Shifts include every other weekend. Overnight and weekend shift differentials are offered.
Requirements
- Sensitivity and aptitude for working with elderly people.
- Dependability, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Perform required job tasks as trained and directed.
- Respect residents’ confidentiality and personal privacy.
- Pass a criminal investigation as determined by the State of Minnesota before starting work.
- Candidates without med pass experience must be willing to complete med pass training.
Nice To Haves
- Med pass experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living.
- Pass medications and supervise resident self-administration.
- Encourage resident independence and engagement.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Observe residents and report changes in their physical and emotional condition.
