About The Position
The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for a full-time Resident Aide for the Medical Clinic. Scheduled hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Requirements
- No specific education or experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents to attend appointments in the Medical Clinic and Rehab Services.
- Follows all established procedures for safe resident escorting including proper position in wheelchairs, use of safety devices, and mode of transportation.
- Assist with coordination of escorting schedule to accommodate unit/resident needs.
- Helps with notification of unit when appts are ahead/behind schedule to help maintain the flow of appts.
- Monitor equipment and supplies used and enter supply orders to maintain par levels as needed.
- Will follow cleaning and disinfecting protocols as specified in policy/procedures.
