Resident Aide, Part Time, 2:15PM-10:45PM
About The Position
Royal Atrium Inn, Assisted Living, a Providence Life Services Community in Zeeland, Michigan, is hiring a permanent, part-time Resident Aide for the evening shift. The role works closely with fellow staff to provide assistance and care to residents according to their needs. No previous experience is necessary; training is provided, and relevant experience is rewarded. Pay is $16.05–$19.35 per hour based on relevant experience, plus a $2.00 evening-shift differential. Applicants must submit a resume with up-to-date work history. The scheduled hours are 2:15 p.m.–10:45 p.m., with work every other weekend.
Requirements
- Be patient, caring, and respectful.
- Have compassion for and a desire to work with elderly people.
- Be able to work responsibly both as a team member and independently.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
- Be honest, fair, and dependable, and respect confidentiality and others’ rights and privacy.
- Be able to work some weekends and holidays.
- Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint-based criminal background check, and reference check.

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, walking, and transferring.
- Remind residents about medications.
- Make beds.
- Respond to call lights.
- Document work performed.
- Provide resident care in coordination with fellow staff.
