Resident Aide, Part Time, 2:15PM-10:45PM
About The Position
Royal Atrium Inn, Assisted Living, a Providence Life Services Community, located in Zeeland, MI is seeking a Resident Aide for the Evening Shift. This is a permanent, part-time position. The primary role involves working closely with fellow staff members to provide assistance and care to residents according to their needs. Typical activities include assisting residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, walking, and transferring. Additional responsibilities include reminding residents of medications, making beds, responding to call lights, and documenting work. No previous experience is necessary, as training will be provided, though experience is rewarded.
Requirements
- Must be patient, caring & respectful.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
- Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.
- Must pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprinting for criminal background check and complete a reference check.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance and care to residents in accordance with their needs.
- Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, walking, and transferring.
- Remind residents of medications.
- Make beds.
- Respond to call lights.
- Document work performed.
- Work closely with fellow staff members.
Benefits
- Pay Scale: $16.05 - $19.35/hour
- $2.00 differential for Evening Shift hours
