About The Position
This position is for a Resident Aide with a Nurse Aide Training Program. Participants will begin their healthcare career with a state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP) through Healthcare Training & Career Consultants in Honolulu. Upon completion of the NATP, the role will transition to a Resident Aide at Hale O Meleana (Assisted Living Facility) in Honolulu. This is a great opportunity to launch a healthcare career, with the final step being a Prometric Exam to obtain Certified Nurse Aide status.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum age of 18.
- Satisfactory completion of Nurse Aide Program preferred
- Certified (CNA) preferred.
- Experience in an environmental services or customer service position in healthcare setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists resident with their physical needs including positioning, feeding, transporting, transferring and toileting, ambulating, personal hygiene, and dressing.
- Monitor residents' condition and report changes to Resident Care Manager.
- Housekeeping duties as assigned: dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, and re-stocking items.
- Assist resident with scheduled activities and appointments.
- Review weekly care plants and monitor for updates.
