About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides services to assigned residents in accordance with care plans and facility policies and procedures, and at the direction of supervisor(s). The role provides compassionate routine daily nursing care and service to residents, including help with personal care and meals. The position is located in Mount Vernon, Illinois, and is listed as full-time, with a salary of $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Must have at least a 10th-grade education; a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication competencies.
• Background and experience in shared decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide assigned residents with compassionate routine daily nursing care and service.
• Attend scheduled training and educational classes to obtain certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Assist residents with daily dental, mouth, bath, and other care functions as necessary.
• Prepare residents for meals and serve food.
• Record residents’ food and fluid intake.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
