About The Position

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Resident Activities and Engagement Coordinator. This candidate will be working directly with MHRA’s tenant population and will plan and implement educational, social, emotional, cognitive and physically appropriate and beneficial programs for elderly and persons with disabilities. The candidate for this role will also serve as the primary backup staff member for MHRA’s Youth Program. Candidates should have the ability to assess and address problems and concerns of low-income residents, youth, and families.

Requirements

• Two to three years related experience in recreational program development for the elderly, persons with disabilities, and/or youth.
• Ability to interact with the elderly, youth, and/or persons with disabilities in a compassionate, diplomatic, positive and helpful manner.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• A valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement educational, social, emotional, cognitive and physically appropriate and beneficial programs for elderly and persons with disabilities.
• Serve as the primary backup staff member for MHRA’s Youth Program.
• Assess and address problems and concerns of low-income residents, youth, and families.
