The Residency Program Coordinator supports medical education program operations, coordinates activities with faculty and residents, and maintains an organized and effective learning environment. This role supports and coordinates the infrastructure necessary to provide graduate medical education, compiles and analyzes data, and participates in developing, preparing, and documenting projects and reports as needed. The coordinator utilizes and performs functions within the MedHub residency management system and coordinates and prepares documentation required by regulatory and accrediting organizations, specialty boards and societies, and applicable state and federal agencies. Additionally, this role coordinates resident and faculty recruitment activities, assists with screening applicants, schedules meetings, prepares materials for conferences and committee meetings, reviews monthly financial data, and prepares reimbursement vouchers and other financial documentation. The position also provides backup administrative support for faculty, coordinates attending physician schedules, and coordinates orientation and checkout activities for medical students. The coordinator assists in planning and coordinating new resident orientation, departmental events, and graduate medical education programs with management, staff, and internal and external customers. They prepare correspondence, reports, policies, procedures, and required program documentation, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. The role also orients new employees and may provide guidance to volunteers, students, support staff, and contract personnel.
