Requirements

  • High School Graduate or High School GED
  • Five years related experience
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of GME accreditation policies
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A high degree of initiative and independent judgment
  • Ability to effectively manage diverse programmatic activities
  • Ability to communicate with all stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential management and oversight for graduate medical education (GME) programs, ensuring continued accreditation and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the administrative leader, partnering with program directors to maintain compliance and institutional standards.
  • Independently manage program operations, including scheduling, curriculum support, and adherence to accreditation requirements.
  • Actively engage in administrative, financial, and logistical planning to ensure seamless program function and trainee support.
  • Review and ensure compliance and implementation of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and specialty/subspecialty board policies and requirements.
  • Collaborate with Program Director and faculty in the development of program curriculum, including integration and evaluation of core competencies into all educational activities to meet the accrediting body requirements.
  • Serve as program liaison for residents; evaluate morale and respond to concerns, connecting with GME resources.
  • Act as program’s main liaison for key stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Serve as a member of, develop agendas, take minutes, and implement decision and actions for residency committees (i.e., Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), Program Evaluation Committee (PEC)).
  • Oversee residency program budget and serve as a key member in finalizing and submitting the Annual Program Evaluation to GME office.
  • Review, update and implement program-specific policies and maintain program files.
