About The Position

This full-time position manages the daily operations of a Medical Center residency program, primarily supporting the Anesthesiology department. The coordinator acts as a liaison for trainees and program activities, provides administrative support to the program director and residents, and ensures compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements. The role involves coordinating recruitment, orientation, graduation, and accreditation processes, managing resident records, and assisting with human resources activities related to residents. The position also includes budget monitoring and coordination of educational conferences and meetings. A hybrid work schedule is available after an initial probationary period and training.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manages daily operations of a Medical Center residency program and assists the program director by serving as a liaison for program trainees and ongoing program activities.
  • Provides administrative support to the program director and residents, including program policies and procedures, and represents the program director in meetings and other administrative affairs as needed.
  • Understands ACGME requirements for program requirements, analyzes them, and suggests specific changes and modifications.
  • Coordinates completion of the Program Information Form (PIF) for ACGME site review and Internal Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Review, and prepares/maintains program records for program accreditation.
  • Coordinates the recruitment, orientation, and graduation processes in the residency/fellowship training program, including the interview process, ranking, and post-match administration, utilizing ERAS and submitting rank lists to NRMP and/or San Francisco Match.
  • May conduct resident orientations, provide Medical Center process training, and oversee or coordinate resident rotation schedules.
  • Develops and maintains current resident and alumni educational records.
  • Conducts annual compliance training for all residents and maintains records, and administers educational and residency performance evaluations as required by ACGME.
  • Coordinates various human resources activities, including resident promotions, training verifications, vacation, sick leave, and leave of absence documentation, and initiates contracts and necessary documentation to the Medical Staff office for incoming and outgoing residents.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and participates in educational conferences and committee meetings.
  • Monitors and reconciles the residency program budget.
  • Serves as a contact for various planning committees.
