About The Position

The Residency Coordinator serves as the point of contact for inquiries regarding residency for tuition purposes at The University of Alabama. This role involves counseling students and their families regarding state law and University policy about residency for tuition purposes. The coordinator will interpret and apply state law and University policy during the review, analysis, and case resolution of applications for reclassification of residency for tuition purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Ability to interact with students and their families.
• Ability to convey difficult information with empathy and understanding in high-stress situations.
• Ability to utilize sound judgment and the ability to remain calm during difficult conversations.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.

• Experience using Banner Student Information System, Banner Self-Service, Argos Enterprise Reporting, and Hyland OnBase.
