About The Position

At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children and families, as well as individuals with developmental disabilities, through high-quality community-based services. We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residence Manager to lead the daily operations of our Residence, a 24/7 residential program supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you'll provide leadership, ensure quality care, and foster a safe, supportive, and person-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a human services field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to safely lift and assist up to 70 lbs, to support individuals' mobility, personal care, transfers, and emergency needs with care and dignity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the residence, ensuring compliance with CMCS and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Assistant Managers, and Shift Supervisors.
  • Lead person-centered planning meetings and ensure implementation of Life Plans and Staff Action Plans.
  • Accompany residents to medical appointments and ensure follow-up on care recommendations.
  • Ensure residents receive support with daily living skills, community integration, and recreational activities.
  • Maintain 24/7 staffing coverage, including on-call responsibilities and emergency response.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, shift observations, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor health and safety protocols, including medication administration and emergency drills.
  • Manage household budgets, resident funds, and staff payroll documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with families, care coordinators, and day programs.
