About The Position

Pathways, Inc. is seeking compassionate, kind, and hardworking individuals to join their team as a Residence Counselor in one of their Individualized Residential Alternative residences for adults with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside amazing adults and individuals with Autism and other developmental disabilities, building meaningful relationships while supporting them in living fulfilling lives. The work environment is a small, homelike setting with only 6 residents, allowing for personalized, compassionate care.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED is preferred.
Verbal and written communication skills are necessary in order to perform the essential functions of the position.
A valid driver’s license with driving record that meets insurability guidelines to operate Agency-owned vehicles.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities or related field of experience.

Responsibilities

Implementation of each individual's Individualized Program Plan as determined by the individual and his/her Service Planning Team.
Ongoing teaching/assisting with community integration, social and recreational activities, money management, transportation, behavioral needs and overall health and well-being of the individual.
Meeting regularly with the Shift Supervisor, QIDP, Residence Manager and conferring with other members of the individual's Service Planning Team to ensure services are appropriate and meet with expressed (or implied) needs, likes, and choices of the individual.
Respecting each individual’s home, belongings, and Agency property.
