About The Position

As a Residence Advisor at EF Honolulu, you will ensure the well-being and satisfaction of our international students, working under the Housing Manager. We seek a highly motivated, responsible, dynamic, and community-minded individual to take on the exciting challenge of working with a highly diverse student population and high energy staff. The position provides great flexibility and requires you to wear many hats including leader, event coordinator, role model, and counselor. This is a job where we truly ask you to bring your personality to the position. Previous experience as a RA is always a plus but not required! While on duty, you will perform general administrative tasks, plan and organize weekly activities, conduct weekly room checks, and attend weekly staff meetings. Additional shifts may be requested to meet the demands of the school operations. We are looking for RAs that are not only friendly and personable while working at the reception desk but can also build meaningful connections with our residents and vendors alike. This is a part-time position and most of the shifts occur during afternoons, evenings, and weekends. This is an on-site, live-in position with accommodation provided as part of the compensation package.

  • Experience living, working, or studying abroad and all additional languages are a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming students: Manage check-ins/outs during weekend shifts and help resolve any issues that may occur during night shifts.
  • Weekly room checks: Inspect and maintain quality standards for rooms and facilities used by students.
  • Emergency support: Be on-call to handle all issues as they arise, with safeguarding and student welfare as the top priority.
  • Events and Activities: Collaborate with the Housing Team and the Activities Manager to organize and lead student activities on-campus and around the city.
  • Teamwork: Work with fellow RAs and Housing Team to create a “Home Away from Home” feeling.
  • Provide positive role modeling for residents in areas of communications, decision-making, and problem solving.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere.
  • Follow and represent EF’s dedication to excellent customer service.
