Reservoir Engineer
About The Position
The Reservoir Engineer provides professional reservoir engineering expertise to support the responsible development and conservation of British Columbia’s oil and gas resources. The role ensures that oil and gas pools operate in a manner that maximizes resource recovery, while supporting conservation, equitable production, and the protection of other subsurface resources. The Reservoir Engineer provides technical evaluation of complex reservoir engineering applications and makes recommendations regarding regulatory approvals, amendments, and special projects. Ongoing operations are monitored to ensure regulatory compliance and identify opportunities to work with industry to improve operational practices and resource recovery. The Reservoir Engineer provides expertise and technical advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding subsurface resources, legislation, regulations, guidance documents, and policy.
Requirements
- Classification: PEA 1-4, PEA Membership
- Candidates will be placed in the PEA Classification Level as established, through job evaluation of a specific set of duties and responsibilities assigned to a position and based on the combined education and experience of the candidate.
