About The Position

The Reservationist is primarily responsible for taking reservations and communicating guest inquiries accurately and in a timely fashion. The Reservationist also follows up with every reservation to confirm every detail and guest need so that the restaurant delivers upon them accurately. Most communication will be handled over the phone and email. Must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday.

Requirements

  • At least one year experience in fast-paced or upscale dining environment
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and a warm, professional demeanor, even during peak hours.
  • Proficient level of computer skills: SevenRooms, Google Suite, Word, Excel, Adobe
  • Recognizes and handles confidential information with a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to acknowledge, solve problems and coordinate decision in an expedited and efficient manner.
  • Great time management, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to changes with ease
  • Good working knowledge of office equipment (i.e. PC, fax, printer)
  • Must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, monitor emails, and online booking systems to accurately record and modify reservations
  • Note any dietary restriction and special request on each reservation and code guests following Sartiano's standards
  • Communicate restaurant guidelines regarding cancellation policies, dress codes, and large-party requirements
  • Process order forms, requests and reports
  • Communicates effectively with Private Events Manager regarding private event inquiries
  • Able to take detailed messages and liase between restaurant management team to follow up with inquiries
  • Handles guest inquiries and complaints courteously and efficiently, promotes positive guest and employee relations
