About The Position

The Center of Applied Nanobioscience and Medicine at The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix is seeking a Researcher/Scientist IV to advance therapeutic platform technologies from early-stage discovery toward pre-clinical and translational validation. Under the leadership of Dr. Zenhausern, this position leads multidisciplinary research programs developing and translating novel drug delivery systems and therapeutics, particularly materials formulations for multiple delivery modalities and medical applications. The work integrates biomaterials engineering, materials formulation and characterization, in vitro and in vivo study design and execution, and scale-up GMP manufacturing process development. The role provides independent scientific leadership in experimental planning, grant development, data interpretation, collaboration with clinical and technical partners, and translating research findings into publications, intellectual property, and externally funded programs. The Researcher/Scientist also assists the Director with active public and private contracts in drug delivery development and helps strengthen the Center’s capacity to secure external funding, develop translational interventions, and establish a discovery-to-delivery platform for controlled therapeutic delivery. Visa sponsorship is available.
