About The Position

The laboratory of Dr. Yamoah invites highly motivated candidates to apply for a Researcher/Scientist IV position, located at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix Campus. The laboratory focuses on the development of markers for age-related hearing loss to treat deafness and hearing loss. The Researcher/ Scientist IV will lead and develop projects in an ongoing research program that focuses on the identification and development of targeted proteomic therapies for hearing loss, including the pre-clinical evaluation of proteomic agents and a specific focus on the development of synthetic proteins and peptides. In addition, the laboratory uses conventional and pursues novel peptide-targeted approaches for the research including cellular therapies, nanotechnology, and small molecule and gene transfers. The incumbent will also be tasked with lab managerial duties and will function as lab supervisor. The ideal applicant will be a highly motivated, independent yet team-orientated individual with excellent communication skills and willingness to excel in a fast-paced research environment. Visa sponsorship is available for this positions.
