About The Position

The laboratory of Dr. Liya Yin of the Translational Cardiovascular Research Center (TCRC) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix invites highly motivated candidates to apply for a Researcher/Scientist III position in her NIH-funded lab. The successful candidate should have training in the broad area of biomedical sciences and specifically, molecular and cellular biology, cardiovascular physiology and vascular biology. The candidate should also have experience with designing, organizing, managing and carrying out research in cardiovascular physiology and vascular biology laboratory setting. This position involves generating research hypotheses using controlled investigations, experiments and/or trials for research on cardiovascular disease using animal models of cardiovascular diseases, e.g. Ischemic heart diseases, diabetic cardiomyopathy, heart failure, coronary microvascular dysfunction, with a goal toward translating basic science findings to clinically viable potential therapeutics. The position is best suited for those well trained in in vivo animal models with strong background in cardiovascular physiology, vascular biology, coronary microcirculation and who is detailed oriented, conscientious, and able to follow instructions and have the ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner, both orally and in writing. Visa sponsorship is available for this positions.
