The Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time Research Scientist III (Researcher/Scientist III) to support Dr. Chorba's translational chemical biology laboratory. The position involves leading complex research projects to develop biochemical tools to study cardiometabolic disease and novel strategies to drug disease states. Responsibilities include leading the design, organization, and execution of multiple mechanistic research projects aligned with the lab’s scientific goals and overseeing day-to-day laboratory operations, including supervision and training of research staff. The incumbent will collect, analyze, and interpret research data as well as prepare publications and presentations for internal and external audiences. This position will contribute to the preparation of grant proposals, progress reports, and regulatory submissions (e.g., IRB, IACUC) and will maintain a collaborative, efficient, and compliant research environment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this positions.
